Brandon didn't want to toot his own horn, but as his co-author I'd like to point Liz and anyone else interested to our History Lives series. Each volume tells the stories of a number of men and women who were key figures in that period of church history. It's for ages nine to fourteen, but adults are telling us they enjoy them, too. Elizabeth Fry is one of several women featured in the fourth volume, which will release late this year. It has been a great privilege (and lots of fun!) to learn about all these amazing people God used over the centuries and tell their stories to modern readers. We especially hope it is a great encouragement to women to learn of their many spiritual foremothers!

Thanks, Liz. I hope other generations can learn from the likes of Fry and others. She is a human, flaws and all, but one who still did the right thing and worked through those flaws with the help of others.

Thanks for the reminder, Brandon. Elizabeth Fry has always been one of my 'role models' for life so I was unprepared to find the obstacles for women to take initiative within the Christian church. Secular authorities are saying that young people need heroes and heroines so maybe some reprints of the stories of people such as Elizabeth Fry could inspire another generation.
