Egalitarian Summary Help Needed

Filed under: Education, General — Will at 12:51 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2007

CBE was recently contacted by Paula Fether, who has working to assemble a wiki-type document, here, attempting to provide a concise summary of egalitarianism.

She is looking for people to help contribute to and edit/critique the summary. If you would be interested in helping with this, please get in contact with her by using the contact form on her blog, www.fether.net.

Kewl!

I’m new at wiki things, but you should be able to go to here to register, and then I can set your access level.

I think the document’s biggest need right now is source references, especially for any claims most likely to be challenged. But of course any other help is greatly appreciated!

Oops! I should know better than to post late at night. The proper link to the wiki (not my blog) is here. I think.

Maybe I can help. I have references.

Awesome. Try that (second) registration link and let me know if you have any trouble logging in.

Also, I should be able to e-mail you all from the login info and send some instructions on how to edit the wiki. Or, if you’d prefer, just send me what changes or additions are needed and I’ll put them in.

Thanks!

I’ve registered as a user. I also think I can help with references. In addition, I have a relationship with Dr. Gilbert Bilzekian (Beyond Sex Roles) as he recently came and spent a weekend at our church speaking on the topics of community and women’s leadership.

(For your information, I am a pastor and have done a great deal of study on this over the years.) Let me know how I can best be of help…

Paula, very cogent and well-written. I am of the conviction that the Reformation did not end with Luther and Calvin, but rather, it is ongoing with us, the church universal, as an organic unity. If I may be of any assistance, contact me.

Hi Greg, thanks for the kind words. I don’t know where to find your e-mail, and it isn’t good to put them in comments, so if you would, just go to my blog at http://www.fether.net and use the contact form. Then, I can e-mail you with information on the wiki. Thanks again!

I agree that the Reformation was never really finished. We need a major overhaul but of course not the kind that many are proposing, which is really an all-out denial of the faith.

Wow, Paula, that looks like a lot of work. I didn’t read it all word for word but as has been said it’s really set out well. By the way, I looked up the words, ‘Christian Egalitarianism’ on the usual Wikipedia site and that gives us a really good wrap and excellent overview as well. All the best with the continuing compilation.

Thanks, Trevor (I didn’t see your post until today).

I’ve had some people contact me about help and sent e-mails back, but no responses since. If there’s a problem with contacting me, try xpndbl at fether dot net.
