Let’s talk about the statement, beginning with paragraph one.
“We believe that the sole living God who created and rules over all and who is described in the Bible is one Triune God in three coeternal, coequal Persons, each Person being presented as distinct yet equal, not as three separate gods, but one Godhead, sharing equally in honor, glory, worship, power, authority, rule, and rank, such that no Person has eternal primacy over the others”

In English, better to retain the use of the word “God” (capital “G”) for the living God who created the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. Otherwise, in English, translate the ancient biblical language words as “deity”, with a small “d”. Honor the Scripture http://bible.us/Exod20.7.MSG when God spoke his third commandment to Moses. Shun the vanity of “OMG” and urge and teach others to PRAY more.

“rules over all”

Is it God’s voice that declares “I rule over you”?
This phrase begs for a deeper ecclesiology in the biblical equality tradition.

the sole living God who created and rules over all
*and who is described in the Bible*
This phrase seems to draw us to consider the question “What does THE BIBLE say and teach”? The Statement would be strengthened by endnote Scripture references (which, of course, would require thorough editorial board consideration and agreement.) For example, the Bible does not SAY God is Triune, but it may teach that God is Triune.
The Biblical Equality Community would benefit from more internal conversations around what makes Evangelical Exegesis and Interpretation egalitarian and also biblical; how is BE exegesis not “progressive revelation”; and also, when more women are thinking, teaching, and conversing exegetically and theologically more deeply. Let’s leave the marshmallow fluff behind.

“power, authority, rule, and rank, such that no Person has eternal primacy over the others”
Clearly, the statement is an argument against the Christian Subordinationists…. but, the language and the focus here simply is not ADVANCING but defending against the offenders.
What language that is egalitarian
expresses the equal-ness, the equality, the parity
of the Three Persons of the Triune God?
Church is so much more joyous when we are FOR something, focused on our mission, and fulfilling our calling with purpose.

one Godhead, sharing equally in honor, glory, worship
Evangelicals are comfortable equally worshiping one Godhead. We are not so much about worshiping individual Persons of the Godhead separately. We’ll leave that to the charismatics, I suppose. What does the Bible teach today’s church about worshipping and bringing glory to God who is egalitarian?
