CBE’s Northern Colorado chapter recently shared this blog post at their chapter meeting:

“Shall we say to this one, keep silent and to this one, speak, when it is God who opens mouths and God who stirs hearts and God who gives winged words to those things we know not even to pray?”
What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

wow—im bowled over—-my favorite line is “so that we can see that the church is opposed to the systemic sexism of satan’s world”—the problem, tho, is that the church all 2 often is NOT opposed to it—sigh
Put a woman behind the pulpit so I can hear He is risen! in the tone it was first shouted.
Amen to that! lol and the walls won’t fall down, and ministries destroyed when she does it!
Yes, but complementarians will say, “Of course God gives the gift of speaking to women along with great spiritual maturity. But the crux of the matter is, where is a woman to use that gift? Not behind a pulpit during worship with men present because I tim.2 forbids it.” I think they’re wrong about that, but we must be prepared to answer their objections.
Yes, your observation here is dead-on.
My favorite thing is that it was written by a brother. Thank you. We need to hear you too.
